Inclusion and belonging
We know that when we bring different people, ideas, backgrounds, opinions and skills to the table, and embrace our differences – we create a creative, innovative and high-performing culture.
We’re working to foster an inclusive workplace where every member of our team is respected and feels that they can achieve their full potential.
Creating a culture of inclusion
Here are just some of the ways we’re fostering inclusion at the company:
Leadership-driven inclusion
Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Executive Council includes leaders from every area of our business, driving meaningful change and fostering a culture of inclusion, acceptance and belonging at all levels of the organization. Meanwhile, our extensive network of volunteer Inclusion Champions are “on the ground” change agents for their business area who work with the Executive Council.
Supporting women
Through the Women in Leadership Network, we’re creating opportunities for connection, mentorship, sponsorship and community. Our Elevate(her) mentorship program furthers this by connecting women at all career levels across the organization.
Advancing reconciliation
Established in 2021, our Indigenous Advisory Council brings together Indigenous leaders from across Canada, giving us the insight to strengthen relationships and advance reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.
Building inclusive communities
Our seven employee-led Employee Inclusion Networks celebrate shared values and identities, giving underrepresented voices a platform to connect, thrive and amplify their stories.
Prioritizing education and growth
From unconscious bias training to regular development opportunities, we are equipping our teams with the tools and knowledge to cultivate more inclusive behaviours.

Accessibility
Creating an inclusive and respectful workplace means eliminating barriers for everyone. We are committed to improving accessibility by listening to feedback from our employees and stakeholders and regularly reviewing our programs to ensure full participation for all. Guided by the principles of dignity, independence, integration and equal opportunity, we ensure that employees, applicants and customers with disabilities have access to services with the same quality and timeliness as others.

Veterans add value
The energy industry’s future is brimming with opportunities, and military veterans and active service members play a vital role in shaping it. Veterans bring exceptional qualities like discipline, dependability, adaptability, initiative, courage, problem-solving, leadership and so much more that make a lasting impact on our business.
We’re proud to offer flexibility to employees who continue to serve in military roles, including military leave when duty calls.
At TC Energy, you can apply your unique skills to tackle some of the world’s toughest energy problems.
But our commitment extends beyond the workplace. We strive to support veterans in civilian life through charitable organizations and local programs, including:
- Canada
- U.S.
- Dress for Success Houston (Veteran’s Program)
- Paws4People
- West Virginia Gold Star Mothers
- Vietnam Veterans of America NE SD Chapter 1054
- Disabled American Veterans Milbank SD Chapter 19
- Veterans of Foreign Wars National Home for Children
- Umonhon Veterans Association
- Warriors and Quiet Waters Foundation
Our partners
