West Path Delivery Program
Overview
TC Energy has completed and owns and operates four separate projects as part of the West Path Delivery Program, located within Alberta and British Columbia. These projects were necessary to supply growing demand in southwest Alberta, southern B.C. and downstream North American markets for natural gas produced in Western Canada.
The four projects were:
- Foothills Zone 8 West Path Delivery 2022 Project — now in-service
- NGTL West Path Delivery 2022 Project — now in-service
- Foothills Zone 8 West Path Delivery 2023 Project — now in-service
- NGTL West Path Delivery 2023 Project — now in-service
The West Path Delivery Program further enhanced connections of the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin (WCSB) to high-value downstream markets.
Both the NGTL System and the Foothills South B.C. Pipeline Systems support the Canadian natural gas industry by providing safe and reliable transportation service to markets in and outside of Canada. Expanding the system to meet the growing needs of producers in Canada creates meaningful positive local community impacts and economic well-being across the country.
These projects were part of TC Energy’s ongoing commitment to add incremental delivery capacity to the system that will facilitate the competitive access of the basin and volume to facilitate market access and debottleneck areas of growing production.
