NGTL Decommissioning Program (2025)
NGTL GP is proposing to permanently cease operations at 15 lateral pipelines or loops on the NGTL System within Alberta as these facilities are no longer necessary to provide service to customers. Since these pipelines share a right-of-way with operating laterals, the CER defines this process as decommissioning. As operations will be discontinued on these facilities, however service will not be permanently ceased, NGTL GP will file a Section 45.1 application, pursuant to the Canadian Energy Regulator Onshore Pipeline Regulations, for the facilities in Q3 2025.
