MEDIA ADVISORY: World Leaders Gather in Alberta at Global Business Forum

Media accreditation required CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Sept. 9, 2009) - Over 200 business executives, academia and government leaders from around the world are set to embark on the ninth annual Global Business Forum to discuss opportunities, growth and innovation. Douglas H. Mitchell, National Co-Chairman, Borden Ladner Gervais LLP and Hal Kvisle, CEO, TransCanada Corporation (TSX:TRP) (NYSE:TRP) join together to co-chair this exciting and influential gathering to be held at The Fairmont Banff Springs in Banff, Alberta, Canada on September 17th and 18th, 2009.

The forum's theme is the Long and Winding Road
- Understanding Challenges and Seizing Opportunities. Sessions reflecting this theme are:

This year's agenda is comprised of more than 20 distinguished speakers and moderators, including Mr. Mike Plant, U.S. Chef de Mission, 2010 Olympics, and Executive Vice-President, Atlanta Braves, Sir Anthony Holland, Independent Complaints Commissioner, Financial Services Authority for the UK, and Mr. Chris Rudge, CEO and Secretary General for the Canadian Olympic Committee.
